Der Präsident der AEFP Europa Dr. Kirsten Paul Rüdiger möchte im kommenden Jahr Malta und Italien in der AEFP-Organisation begrüßen. Beide Länder planen die Teilnahme am Entente Florale-Wettbewerb 2021 – vorbehaltlich der Auswirkungen künftiger Covid 19-Beschränkungen und -Entwicklungen in Europa. Malta wird durch den Verband des Gemeinderats von Malta /Gozo vertreten. Italien wird von der Cittá Smart and Green Organisation vertreten.
Vereinfachungen in der Satzung erleichtern die Teilnahme
Der Vorstand der AEFP (Association Européenne pour le Fleurissement et le Paysage) hat kürzlich Änderungen der Satzung des Verbandes genehmigt, um Gemeinden, öffentlichen Körperschaften, Städten und Dörfern in ganz Europa auf individueller Basis die Teilnahme am Wettbewerb zu ermöglichen.
Städte und Dörfer können nunmehr unter der Kategorie der assoziierten Mitgliedschaft am Wettbewerb teilnehmen, auch wenn das Herkunftsland des Antragstellers kein ordentliches Mitglied der AEFP ist oder wenn in diesem Land keine nationale Organisation oder kein nationaler Wettbewerb besteht. Dies ist eine sehr positive Entwicklung für den europäischen Wettbewerb und wird eine größere Flexibilität bei der Bewältigung der künftigen Herausforderungen fördern und sicherstellen. Damit soll auch das Wohlergehen aller europäischen Bürger während und nach dieser Krisenzeit, die durch Covid-19 ausgelöst wurde, angemessen priorisiert werden.
Die Entente Florale ist weiterhin zuversichtlich, dass viele der ursprünglich angemeldeten Teilnehmer für 2020 im Jahr 2021 teilnehmen werden. Darüber hinaus sind die Organisatoren optimistisch, dass einige Länder einen zweiten oder einen dritten Teilnehmer benennen können.
Die AEFP hofft daher, dass im Sommer 2021 der Wettbewerb durchgeführt werden kann und im September 2021 die Preisverleihung mit vielen Vertretern aus ganz Europa in der Stadt Balatonfüred am nördlichen Ufer des Plattensees in Ungarn feierlich begangen werden kann.
Der Präsident des Verbandeswünscht allen nationalen Verbänden und Mitgliedern, Jurymitgliedern und Teilnehmergemeinschaften einen gesunden und sicheren Rest des Jahres 2020. Der Vorstand des Europawettbewerbes ist sich sicher, dass sich die allgemeine Situation im Bereich der öffentlichen Gesundheit verbessern wird. Die frühzeitige Verfügbarkeit eines wirksamen Impfstoffs zusammen mit der schrittweisen Aufhebung der derzeitigen Covid-19-Beschränkungen im Frühjahr 2021 sind die Voraussetzungen für eine erfolgreiche Wettbewerbsdurchführung im Jahr 2021 sein.
A welcome to Malta and Italy who are planning to join the Entente Florale Competition in 2021 and notification of recent changes to the Articles and Bye Laws of AEFP.
A Message from the President of AEFP Europe – Dr. Kirsten Paul Rüdiger.
The President of AEFP Europe would like to welcome both Malta and Italy to the AEFP Organisation, who subject to the impact of future Covid 19 restrictions and developments in Europe, are planning to take part in the Entente Florale Competition 2021. Malta is represented by the Local Council’s Association of Malta/Gozo and Italy is represented by the Cittá Smart and Green Organisation.
The Board of AEFP have also recently approved changes to the Articles and Bye-Laws of the Association to enable communities, public bodies, cities, towns and villages throughout Europe on an individual basis to enter our competition, with the prior approval of the Board of AEFP.
Such individual applicants will be able to enter the Competition under the category of Associate Membership and are permitted to take part where the applicant’s country of origin is not an Ordinary member of AEFP or where there is no national organisation or competition exists in that country. This is a very positive development for our competition and will foster greater flexibility in dealing with the future challenges we face and will ensure the well-being and aspirations of European Citizens during and after this period of crisis are suitably prioritised.
The Association remains confident that many of the entrants for 2020 will be able to go forward for adjudication in 2021 and that some countries will be able to designate a second entry (or a third entry if they wish) which together with individual entrants will enhance next year’s Competition. We therefore hope all going well to have a successful Awards Presentation in Balatonfured, Hungary in September 2021.
Finally, as President of the Association I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our National Associations and members, Jury Members and Participant Communities a healthy and safe remainder of 2020. I hope there will be some improvements in the overall public health situation with the early availability of an effective vaccine together with the phased lifting of the current Covid -19 Restrictions in the Spring of 2021, and we can look forward to a successful 2021 Competition and Awards Ceremony.
